Dr. Dana Clayton

VETERINARIAN

HBSc, DVM

Dana grew up on a small hobby farm and spent much of her childhood with her trusty horse. She worked at the local vet clinic, as a high school student, and then completed her Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degrees at the University of Guelph (Ontario Veterinary College). After graduation, she worked for 10 years in small animal conventional veterinary practices. Over the last decade she realized that conventional veterinary medicine cannot provide all the answers to her patients’ problems. To offer a holistic approach to patient treatment, she completed training in natural nutrition and is currently studying to become a certified herbalist. She is excited to join the team at Pine Holistic Veterinary Office.

When not working, she can be found spending time with her husband and two young children, hiking with her dog Teddy, studying herbal medicine, or reading a good book.

Kristen has completed her introductory course on acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine. She is currently our ozone treatment expert!

She shares her home with two cats, Polly and Poppy. When not working she enjoys yoga, hiking, horseback riding, reading and spending time with family and friends.
